Career Opportunities

Shalom College, Bundaberg, is a Catholic co-educational college within the Diocese of Rockhampton, catering to students from Years 7-12. Idyllically located at the southern gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, the College has an enrolment of 1,400 students and offers an innovative curriculum including Project Based Learning (PBL) for our Middle School and a diverse range of Senior Subjects.  A number of the available positions will be full-time continuing positions.  Due to an anticipated increase in student numbers for 2020, applications are now open for the following Head of Department and teaching positions, commencing in 2020:

 

Head of Department – Business

This is a Middle Leadership 2C position which currently attracts a $12,800 allowance.  The successful applicant will have the necessary leadership skills for this role and an ability to teach Accounting to Year 12.

 
Religious Education

Ideally, the applicant will have the necessary skills and experience to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school from Year 7-12

 
English

Senior and Middle school positions available.

 
Science

The College is seeking a teacher of Chemistry with a second teaching area.

 
Mathematics

Senior & Middle school positions available

 
Music

An ability to teach Music in Senior and Middle school
