Shalom College is currently seeking to employ a highly motivated Business Teacher (Year 7 – Year 12) starting Term 3, 2019. A secondary teaching area would be highly regarded.

IT Support Officer


This is a full-time continuing position

Start date: Immediate start if possible

CLASSIFICATION: SO Level 3: $54,829/annum      

Shalom College is looking to employ a highly motivated IT Technician to join the ICT Department.

The applicant must have a driver’s licences and own vehicle to assist with offsite obligations servicing the Bundaberg Catholic Primary Schools.

Specific Duties include;

Assist with the administration of the computer systems hardware and software including:

  • Cleaning of Computer hardware when required
  • Installation of new/replacement workstations, desktops and notebooks
  • Maintenance of various hardware including: desktops, notebooks, etc.
  • Monitoring computer labs for vandalism and reporting to the IT Manager
  • Monitor backup reports for all College Servers
  • Monitor virus scanning reports for all College Servers and Computers
  • Resetting of staff and student passwords when directed
  • Reimage computers when required
  • Setup of Student user accounts
  • Printer toner replacements
  • Assist with keeping staff up to date with advancements and changes within the school network
  • Assist with technical support for audio/visual setups in Performing Arts Precinct, Sports Center and other locations directed
  • Assist with maintaining department documentation for College equipment and services
  • Assist students and staff with difficulties in using school hardware or software
  • Advise the IT Manager of hardware needing repair or replacement
  • Check student folders and activity for inappropriate material
  • Complete tasks allocated and supervised by the IT Manager or ServiceDesk Manager and assist in the day-today running of the network
  • Logging of issues for users onto the College ServiceDesk
  • Maintain the orderliness of the store room and work room
  • Update the asset and stock register when required
     

Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications at Certificate level or equivalent knowledge, qualifications and experience relevant to the position would be an advantage.

Uniform Shop Coordinator


This is a part-time continuing position (Term-Time)

Start date: Term 3, 2019 

CLASSIFICATION: Level 3 Services Staff: $17,950/annum – based on current term-time 16 hours/week

Shalom College is looking to employ a highly motivated Uniform Shop Coordinator.

Duties include;

  • The day-to-day operation of the Uniform Shop within the guidelines and processes set by the College.
  • Respond to enquiries from staff, students, parents and the general public and address issues in accordance with routines, methods and procedures
  • Within routines, methods and procedures: provide administrative support to senior management; arrange appointments and diaries; and prepare correspondence
  • Assist in the preparation of internal and external publications
  • Use software application packages to create database file structures; and spreadsheets/work sheets
  • Ordering stock from approved, reliable suppliers;
  • Performing a stock take annually – a copy of which is to be provided to the Finance Officer;
  • Daily cleaning/tidying of the Uniform Shop area;
  • Ensuring all stock is stored in a tidy and clean manner.
  • Maintaining all equipment and reporting any faults/repairs;
  • Ensuring the highest standards of customer service are maintained.

Relief Administration Officer 


This is a casual position (Term-Time) - hours may vary each week as required.

Start date: Term 3, 2019 

CLASSIFICATION: SO Level 3: $34.5658/hour casual

Shalom College is looking to employ a highly motivated Relief Administration Officer.

Duties include;

  • Manage student or front reception desks when required
  • Respond to student and parent enquiries and answer office phone calls
  • Contact parents to advise of sickness or need for medication
  • Facilitation of mail outs
  • Assist in the photocopy room as required
  • Assist with filing as required
  • Assist with typing as required
  • Assist with photocopying, scanning and binding as required
  • Assist in the Book Hire Room and Resource Centre as required
  • Other duties as directed by the Principal
