We wish to advise that, due to the forecast of significant rainfall beginning late Thursday and continuing through Friday and into early next week, we have made the decision to postpone the Swimming Carnival, scheduled for this Friday. Standing in the rain for an extended period is unpleasant for students and staff and we believe this early decision is in everyone's best interest.
We have chosen to make this call today as Thursday is scheduled for the Wide Bay Trials for Cluster 2 Sports (weather permitting), and we wanted to provide families with as much notice as possible.
Unfortunately, the remainder of this term is already heavily scheduled, leaving no suitable opportunity to reschedule the event. We are therefore aiming for early Term 4 as the most likely alternative date, to be confirmed.
Please note that this Friday will now operate as a normal school day.
