Recently, Shalom College held its annual Scholars Assembly to celebrate and recognise the Academic Awards of the 2025 Graduating Class, including Tops of Subjects, Academic Excellence Awards, and the Dux of the College.
Two student’s academic performances were recognised by the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority, leading them to receive Subject Academic Commendations for achieving 100/100 – Isabella M for Dance and Ellehra W for Modern History. Ellehra also received an Academic Commendation for achieving an ‘A’ result in all six subject she studied.
The Excellence in Mathematics Award, sponsored by GHD, was awarded to Maxwell C for being the graduating student with the highest combined total for both Year 12 Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics.
The Shalom College Dux of 2025, sponsored by CQU and presented by Dr Katrina Lane-Krebs, was awarded to Jack M with an ATAR of 98.15.
Joining the students on the day was guest speaker Dr Lewis Purcell, a 2009 Shalom Graduate, who shared his wisdom, life learnings, and key lessons.
