An Evening for Hannah with Saya Sakakibara

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for An Evening for Hannah with Saya Sakakibara on Thursday night.

Saya’s story is an extraordinary journey of resilience and strength - overcoming trauma and rising to win Gold in BMX at the 2024 Paris Olympics. We are deeply grateful for her time, her openness, and her presence at this special event.

It was also incredibly meaningful to celebrate this evening in the same week that Hannah returned to school. Her determination and courage over the past 10 weeks have been truly inspiring, and although her recovery is far from over, it is wonderful to see her back home in her Shalom community, and able to attend the night held in her honour.

Thanks to your generosity, we also raised over $1,300 through the raffle. A huge thank you to Ace Race Australia, David Batt MP, and Red Shed Seafood for their generous raffle donations.
